Program Manager – SAP Solution Center Management for Turkey, Greece, Israel

Establish technology innovation and solution adoption in SAP’s SME channel partner eco-system

(January 2010 to December 2011) – 2 years

  • Coached SAP’s channel partners in Turkey, Greece and Israel to grow their business in the SME segment through end-to-end orchestration of the SAP portfolio adoption, Go-to-Market planning and project implementation activities
  • Designed and delivered a series of role based partner enablement camps covering topics about business strategy & model for partner’s c-level decision makers, solution packaging for technical project managers, sales execution for sales managers and SAP’s ASAP Focus project implementation methodology for project managers
  • Responsibility in yearly business planning of SAP’s market units in Turkey, Greece and Israel with the objective to make partners generate more demand, hence build and manage a solid pipeline, increase their win-ratio, sell more licenses and implement customer projects much faster and more efficiently; achieved two digits yearly growth in 2011
  • Drove channel partners towards an industry and micro-vertical focused volume sales approach through building specific partner specific solution packages by putting partner’s specific intellectual property on top of SAP’s standard solution portfolio and secured compliance with SAP’s global company policies and strict quality criteria
  • Continuous progress reporting to the SAP Solution Center Director for Emerging countries and country SME heads on key KPIs like indirect license revenue, number customer references etc.
  • Shared learnings and good practices with SAP channels and partners in other continents like e.g. South East Asia (SEA) through 5 days on-site partner facing training camps (see the bottom of page 1 for full list of countries where training was conducted)

Program Manager – Business Development and Solution Adoption in EMEA

Expand SAP’s footprint in the Small and Medium Enterprise market segment

(February 2008 to December 2009) – 2 years                                                                                                                                                                                

Led the global business development program “Fast-Start” to drive SAP’s Solution Portfolio and Go-to-Market strategy into the Small and Medium Enterprise market segment in EMEA; acted as a prime mentor into the SAP field organization to design and rollout the tactical action plans and oversee multiple projects crossing many organizational boundaries; directly reported to the Global Vice President of E&C Solution Portfolio Adoption

  • Quantified the objectives and benefits of the “Fast-Start” program, outlined an executable roadmap, bundled all relevant tools & accelerators and triggered the rollout of the program via a series on-site c-level workshops and succeeding comprehensive enablement sessions with the aim to increase SAP’s indirect license revenue and project delivery capacity in the SME sector
  • Identified untapped whitespaces and industries to increase SAP’s addressable market space; initiated local projects in the countries to position SAP’s and its partners software and service offerings to potential customers; closely monitored the entire program execution in EMEA and reported progress to key stakeholders
  • Setup an enablement curriculum to train SAP and its channel partners about technical solutions, ways on how to generate demand, increase sale efficiency and improve project delivery excellence and acted as a prime quality and risk manager at each stage of the program
  •  Interacted and managed the satisfaction of global and regional stakeholders from various lines-of-businesses and proofed competence in clear, concise and tactful communication
  • Resolved political, resourcing, budgeting, organizational and legal issues affecting the program

Program Manager - Release Upgrade (June ' 07 - Feb '08 ),

                                                                          

 

Managed the European Wide launch of an SAP initiative to convince and enable SAP channel partners to upgrade their SAP based partner solutions to the latest SAP system release.

  • Actively defined and rolled out a program for SAP Channel partners in order to upgrade their pre-customized solution packages to the latest SAP release.
  • Defined an upgrade methodology and successfully led nine upgrade projects together with SAP’s Channel partners from Europe.
  • Trained the local SAP project managers in the “Partner Solution Upgrade Methodology” and provided tools & accelerators. 
  • Closely monitored the upgrade projects as a single point of contact and continuously advised on project management issues.
  • Initiated and conducted a certification process of the channel partner's SAP based software solutions and awarded them with the “SAP Qualified” degree.

PMO and Project Integration Manager  (Jan’ 07 to Apr’ 07),

SAP Consulting designed and implemented a Finance and Controlling solution for the biggest automotive manufacturer in Iran.  

  • Established and led a Project Management Office Organization to support the project implementation phases.
  • Acted as co-implementation manager and drove the planning and monitoring of topics such as scope, time and budget management, testing, data migration, change management, custom development design, cutover and post go-live support.
  • Played the role of a Senior Quality and Risk Manager to allow early risk mitigation.
  • Frequently presented reports to the Iranian steering committee and informed SAP Consulting colleagues about the overall project status.
  • Build and organized a post go-live Business Competence organization to support the post go-live era.

 

Project Implementation Manager (Jul'06 to Dec’ 06),

Have been upgraded to the Project Manager role at the Nestlé Netherlands SAP rollout implementation project.

  • Single point of contact to Nestlé Netherlands's management team in all project management related matters.
  • Responsible for monitoring the execution of the project plan and acting as a quality, risk and audit manager.
  • Weekly progress reporting to Nestlé's support organization in Frankfurt and to the Dutch steering committee.
  • Planned and monitored all critical project phases like Testing, Data Transition, Cut over and Go-Live.

 

PMO and Project Integration Manager

IBM Business Consulting – Amsterdam, Netherlands

(Sep’ 2005 to Jul’ 2006) – 11 months

Implementation project of the SAP based “Nestlé GLOBE Template” at Nestlé Netherlands. Reported to the IBM implementation manager.

  • Introduced and monitored the compliance of Nestlé’s project implementation methodology called “Method of Implementing GLOBE”.
  • Created and monitored the project plan, when necessary adjusted the project work breakdown structure, performed time and budget management during the entire project life cycle.
  • Closely monitored the creation of project deliverables coming from the project teams.
  • Defined and planned-in quality standards to ensure that the project deliverables are conform to the project policies.
  • Actively run risk management assessments and defined mitigation actions.
  • Managed expectations of stakeholders such as steering committee, board members and other sponsors within the Nestlé organization.

Data Manager (Jan’ 05 to Aug’ 05)

IBM Business Consulting

Implementation project of the SAP based “Nestlé GLOBE Template” at Nestlé Russia. Reported to the IBM implementation manager.

  • Initiated and controlled the data cleansing activities. 
  • Planned and monitored the entire Data Migration starting from data collection until Data loading and validation. 
  • Personally monitored and directed the data collection process within the entire Russian company organization such as factories, distribution centers and the head office.
  • Developed and coordinated several data quality checks to gradually improve data quality and accuracy.

Testing Manager Europe (Aug’ 04 to Dec’ 04)

IBM Business Consulting

Member of the PMO & Integration Team located in “Nestlé GLOBE Support Center Europe”. This team was responsible for the definition of Project Management methods and tools. Reported to the Nestlé Integration Team Manager.

  • Developed and introduced a testing methodology for all running Nestlé implementation projects.
  • Organized and facilitated knowledge transfer workshops in the countries to introduce the testing methodology and make sure that the teams follow the testing policies.
  • Led and instructed the “Country Testing Coordinators” during project implementations.

Business Applications Manager for Logistics (Dec' 02 to July' 04)

Member of the Business Application Delivery Team located in “Nestlé GLOBE Support Center Europe”. This organization acted as a shared service center and competence center for the entire European Nestlé headquarters. Reported to Nestlé’s Business Application Delivery Manager.

  • Acted as subject matter expert and guardian of logistic related business processes.
  • Introduced and explained entire business processes to Nestlé’s European business owners from logistic related departments.
  • Guided Nestlé's manufacturing department leads and their entire team through the entire project life cycle.
  • Identified globally relevant missing business requirements and organized workshops to define the functionality scope.

Business Applications Principal Consultant for Logistics  (Jan' 01 to Nov' 02),

PricewaterhouseCoopers Management Consulting 

Member of a 350 manned team who developed a huge business suite called “GLOBE” to be rolled out in all Nestlé locations worldwide. Reported to the PWC Director and to the Nestlé stream lead at Nestlé’s Headquarters.

  • Coordinated the design of the Nestlé business processes in the area of Manufacturing and Factory Quality Management.
  • Lead the design and documentation of “End-to-End” business processes.
  • Planned and monitored testing activities of 40 team members as a “testing coordinator”.
  • Acted as a ground support during two go-lives in Swiss factories

Market Unit IT Coordinator (Mar' 00 to Dec' 00)

Siemens AG

Member of the “Market Unit IT Coordinators” team who were supporting European Siemens branches in all IT related matters. Reported directly to the central CIO of the business unit “Information Communication Networks (ICN)”.

  • Acted as single point of contact for all type of IT requirements in eastern European Siemens headquarters in Hungary, Turkey, Poland and Russia.
  • Took the role of a central Quality and Risk manager to overlook common threats and issues, so that early risk mitigation can be performed.
  • Introduced state-of-the-art Siemens applications and policies to country CIOs with the main objective to harmonize the hardware and software landscape.

Business Applications Team Lead for Logistics (May' 99  to Feb' 00)

Member of a 60 manned development team who developed a software template called “Spiridon” based on SAP R/3.

  • Coordinated the analysis and overall business process re-engineering of Siemens specific business processes in the telecommunication sector.
  • Actively supported the Program Management team in various project planning activities.
  • Planned and managed the design activities.
  • Defined the overall testing strategy and facilitated unit, integration and acceptance testing.

Business Analyst Logistics (Sep' 97 to Apr' 99)

Member of a 60 manned team who implemented SAP R/3 at Siemens factories in Istanbul and Warsaw.

  • Analyzed factory specific business requirements and mapped them against SAP standard functionality.
  • Wrote a business blueprint and documented all must-have production related processes at the Siemens factories in Istanbul and Warsaw.
  • Took the lead in SAP system customization and testing.
  • Conducted end-user trainings and became single point of contact for the Manufacturing community.
